Write Up:
There turned out to be 9 members on the hike, co-lead by Deb and Shirley. The day started with a bear scare at the trail head; however, as a group we courageously decided to venture forth in spite of a reported bear sighting by a few in the parking lot. It turned out to be an excellent day; wonderful hike and great group of people. It was overcast with threat of rain; cool at times, but overall good hiking weather. We did see some bear dropping, full of berries...but no bear.
