Write Up:This was a 3 day backpack to North Molar Pass in Banff. 5 people started the hike. Easy walk
into Mosquito Creek Backcountry Campground (2 hrs). We soon learned why it was named that.
2nd day was a long trip (8 hrs) up to North Molar Pass. Beautiful alpine meadows filled with
flowers. The final push to the pass had quite a bit of snow on it. The pass had great views in
spite of the smoke from fires. We saw a wolverine in the distance. We returned to camp to re-
learn why they named it Mosquito Creek. The walk out was easy (1.5hrs) Trails here are rugged
with rock, tree roots and mud. 5 people returned. A great group and a memorable hike.
