Write Up:
It was a chilly morning when we started from Votier's Flats but warmed to +7 C by the time we finished. We were fortunate to see a large herd of deer grazing on a slope soon after starting and we were treated to lots of bird sightings throughout our hike. We had no rain except for a slight drizzle after we got back to the starting point. Throughout the hike we chatted about such things as the old race track, the new bridges, Raven Rocks, beaver activity, snakes in the park and early settlers. The hike took 3 hours and covered 12 km. Thanks to everyone for making this a great spring hike.
