Write Up:
We had expected rain but not fresh wet snow which made the trails quite slippery. Eight hikers decided to turn back after a while and 5 of us continued for 2 1/2 hours. We would have walked the complete loop but encountered several fresh bear tracks in the snow and decided to take a shortcut back to the car. At one spot, the bear had crossed the trail and at another spot, the bear must have walked along the trail very recently.Brown Lowerey is a lovely area and worth another walk but later in the season! Thanks to everybody who came along.
