Write Up:
Despite the dire forecast we had sunshine, wind ( but not gale force) and thankfully no precipitation. We spotted deer, red tailed hawks and the season's first crocuses on sun facing slopes. We did visit the eagle nest but nobody appeared to be home. The gravel and paved trails were dry and clear of snow except for one bit of snow at the entry to Yodel Loop. All in all a very fine spring walk in a beautiful natural area.
