Write Up:
Cool night, down to about plus 3 but sun came out as we enjoyed breakfast overlooking the lake. Steady climb through the trees to John John campground where we ate lunch and took time to dry out our gear. After lunch we entered alpine meadows and arrived at Poboktan Pass (2300 m, 500 m elevation gain for the day). Spectacular views in all directions! Descended to Jonas Cutoff campground where we spent our third night.
