OOOPS! a couple km longer than I estimated and perhaps a bit more elevation gain. A bull and cow moose showed up just as we were turning onto Snakes - just walking through the clear-cut. Doug's calling did not seem to impress them. Also abundant grouse. Temp was about 6 degrees - much better than in Calgary and there was quite a bit of pleasant sunshine. Tail was occaisionally muddy but all those mice-spikes went unused. A good fall day.
