Write Up:
A very interesting day. We started in rain then walked in the clouds all morning. Enjoyed the golden aspen and carpet of fall leaves on the trail. A few red paint brushes and purple hair bells dotted the hill side. It was an eerie lunch looking into the clouds and watching as the top started opening to sun and blue. We were blessed that by the time we were half way back down the clouds had mostly opened and we could see the fabulous mountain ranges surrounding us. We also had a wildlife encounter - with a very lost, very agitated cow! Overall a wonderful group of folks to hike with and all kept an optimistic, positive attitude that made for a fun day! p.s. Poles were absolutely critical on the slippery hillside!
