Write Up:
Group of 8 left Calgary 7:30, started hike 9:10. Excellent sunny, cool day, 6 to 16 degrees. Dry trail conditions. After several minor delays reached the north summit in 2 hours. Two members scrambled to the top, 6 sidehilled over the scree, missing the bypass path to the left side of the ridge peak. Reached the south end of the ridge over rolling topography in an hour, leaving at 1:10. Reached the north end of the ridge by 2:30, again missing the best bypass trail too low. Trail is immediately below rocky ledges and scree. Several delays on way down, reached lot at 4:00 and Calgary at 5:30. No GPS. trip is probably 12 km. and about 750 meters due to rolling terrain on ridge. We also saw a group of 4 bighorn sheep and a number of flowers still in bloom on the ridge crest. Trip was much appreciated by the group.
