Write Up:
Six hikers completed the trek up to the top of Fairview Mounain. We left a rapidly filling parking lot at 9:30 pm and returned at 2:30 pm. Total hiking time was 4 hrs (9.7 km and 970 m elevation gain). Weather was partly sunny with a cool wind blowing at the summit. All in all, a great day! A word to the wise: make sure you leave Calgary very early for hikes in the Lake Louise area at this time of year (mid-July). Otherwise you may not find parking.
