Write Up:
The day started with bright blue skies, 6c and an icy wind. The wind diminished as we started up the trail and did not show up again until we reached the meadow overlooking Hwy 66. There were many wildfowers out including a few calypso orchids, many arnicas and paint brushes. Lunch was in the shelter of the middle hill from the wind which remained icy. A good hike in the sunshine and 13c.
