Write Up:
A new trail for all! Very steep starting out and the snow/meltwater of several days ago made the footing treacherous - luckily some still had icers. A slow initial 1 km till the trail flattened and the snow was gone. Not many good lunch spots until one reaches intersection with Bobcat. There were no bikers on Special K however the woods is very open and visual contact will be good. Bikers go downhill. 10 km from Moose Mountain Road to Station Flats and well over 500 m elevation loss. Will try it again in fall under dry conditions
