Write Up:
Fabulous sunny weather with a light breeze and dry trail conditions all the way to the top of the ridge ( apart from a short area of snow and mud just before you arrive at the tea house). Even though we arrived before 9:30, the parking lot was already full. Thanks to Zdravko for driving all of us in great comfort. Thanks to all for wonderful company and for stopping frequently to allow me to catch up. We had a leisurely lunch on the heli-pad soaking up the sun and the views not only of snowy peaks in all directions but an amazingly varied collection of tattoos. As I dozed in the sun, wafted by a gentle breeze laden with the scent of sunscreen , I could easily imagine myself on a beach... Note to self: on a beautiful weekend stop at Dead Man's Flats to use the bathroom rather than relying on the single cubicle at the Cougar Creek trailhead.
