Write Up:
Ten of us headed west to Helen Lake, choosing to ignore weather warnings of rain and thunderstorms. Fortunately and amazingly, we had mixed clouds and sunshine throughout the hike, with no showers or rain. All ten of us hiked to the top of the ridge above Helen Lake. Due to the many marmots, we have decided the ridge is now called Marmot Ridge. Four members hiked on to Dolomite Pass. Overall a wonderful hike with fabulous views and camaraderie!
