Write Up:
Despite the forecast for mixed precipitation we had none of this on the trail today; just coolish and cloudy. The temperature was about 6-8 degrees but the steep uphill warmed everyone and layers were shed. Very fortunate we arrived early as the parking lot overflowed and the trails became busy. Afterwards on an optional basis some of us later walked along the pleasant Bow River Loop interpretive pathway system for about 3km, starting near the bridge on our way to 8th (main) street.
