What a difference a week makes. The trail was mostly dry with only a few muddy spots .No need to use microspikes. We met a large group from the Calgary Outdoor Club on the trail. They were at our " restaurant" so we found an alternate lunch spot! Some of us finished the hike with a Happy Hour at Eric and Carol's RV site at McLean Creek Campground. Thanks Eric and Carol for the hospitality.
