Write Up:
We left Calgary early Friday morning hoping to arrive at Merlin Meadows early afternoon. Unfortunately, the weather did not look promising for the next three days and we were able to transfer our permits to the last week in July. The group consensus was that this was the best decision. As we were already in Lake Louise, we emptied our backpacks and joined the crowds up to Plain of Six Glaciers. Cloudy and cool but the rain held off most of the day. We descended from Little Beehive with lightning, thunder and pouring rain. The drive back was challenging with heavy rain and traffic. Hoping for better weather on our next attempt.
