Write Up:
Sunny and warm day hiking into Glacier Lake. Trail was dry, no snow, but the mosquitoes were out. We were thankful for the breeze off the lake while we were setting up the tents. The campsites are right on the shore of the lake with spectacular views of Lyell Glacier to the west. We had time to explore the area, scrambling towards Survey Peak and returning via the connector to the Howse River Trail. Sunday was even warmer! After a leisurely start, we hiked to the end of Glacier Lake before returning to the trailhead. A fantastic weekend with great group of people!
