Write Up:
September 7 2015 we were in winter wonderland on Forget me not Ridge. The air was crisp and cool as we left the parking lot at 9:10 am. The sky was clear and the sun welcomed. The river was dry for crossing. We started to climb and the views were spectacular with snow covered mountains all around us. We made our way over the rocks and into the forest and on to the ridge and there was a packing of snow below our boots. As our elevation increased so did the wind and snow amount and the air temperature went down. At around noon we decided to turn back and a small group went ahead and did the reach the summit. We returned via same route with snow showers and had lunch in the trees. The temperature was noticeably warmer on the down route and in the trees and we arrived back at the cars to a seasonal temperature. Thanks to everyone for coming out.
