Write Up:
At the entrance to the Ribbon Creek Parking Lot a sign was posted alerting everyone that there was a black bear in the area. Our group stayed close together and there was no " sighting" of a bear. The only wildlife we saw were a couple of grouse and a chipmunk. It was very busy at the village, lots of families enjoying outdoor activities. We had a relaxing lunch sitting by the pond. On the return trip down Aspen it started to rain. By the time we got back to the cars it had stopped. There was a delay of 30 minutes on the way home due to construction on Highway 1 It was a great day with a great group of hikers!
