From the Fireside Picnic area off the Bow Valley Parkway, the group of 8 started up to Cory Pass at 8:50 a.m., with lunch at the Pass around noon. A light breeze made the trip very pleasant. The hike out Edith took about 2 1/2 hours, arriving back at the cars at 3:30 p.m. Three participants, including two new members, were doing the hike for the first time. This being a spectacular trail, everyone was extremely impressed with the views and thrilled to have such a beautiful day.
