Write Up:
An excellent day for an exploratory hike. First, a tough slog up to Grizzly Col, esp along some unstable scree. Then southeastward along Grizzly Ridge into an area seldom used by hikers (read NO trail). Steep down through scrub, meadows and scree. As promised, Doug then provided some "exploratory" excitement along an intermittently disappearing trail. Finally, a permanent trail was discovered and Hwy 40 was attained. Everyone was a real trooper through the steep slopes and trailless bush. Thanks to all Doug
