HI all, well we tried to do Yamnuska but the area was closed as the quarry was blasting for limestone. Apparently when they are planning to do this, its posted in the local newspapers but not sure if anywhere else. So the four of us decided to go on to Canmore and do Mount Lady McDonald . While there was less snow at the bottom than Yamnsuka we had a snowy ascent starting about 1/3 of the way up so we put on our icers. Trail down was muddy as most of the snow had melted. Windy at the top at the helipad but on the south side it was calm and sunny. Thanks to Robin, Patricia and Wouter for encouraging me along.
