Write Up:
A group of 9 hearty hikers set off for Rummel Pass. It wasn't long before we hit the snow and mud on the trail. It rained just enough to make us put on our rain jackets and then shortly take them off. We made it up to the meadow and the first scree section but snow covering the rocks made it too risky to continue on. As did the big black cloud that formed over the pass. Back to the lake to finish our lunch and then down the trail in the warm sun. All in all, a great day on the trail. Next year....the pass!
