Fairly favourable weather forecasts for Sunday changed late on Saturday, with earlier onset of wet weather and light rain predicted. 4 members decided to hike only to Healy Pass, the remaining 5 were keen enough to try the entire circuit to Harvey Pass and Bourgeau trailhead. We left Calgary at 7, were hiking from Sunshine at 9 in light rain, reached the pass about 12. Rain let up from 12 to 2, and also from 4 to 6. We could not see Bourgeau Mtn. from Healy, and used Barry Yee's GPS to determine our bearing. We stayed to the right of a prominent ridge, crested, then down, up another, then down and along the flank of the final ridge just south of Harvey Pass, which we reached at 4, and the trailhead at 6:15. 15 minute car shuttle with 2 cars. Barry reports 31 km and 1568 metres. In better conditions a shorter and less hilly route could be found. The group was keen to revisit this beautiful area under sunny skies and with more daylight to allow enjoyment.
