About the Four Seasons Hikers Club

The Four Seasons Hikers (FSH) was formed in 2016 by combining the Calgary Weekend Hikers (CWH), started in 1980 by Elaine Watson, Rosemarie Kramp and Elsie James, and the Prairie Mountaineer Hikers (PMH), started in 1995. Our club members have a passion for hiking and respect for the mountain environment. We are a volunteer group that appreciates member participation and treasures the friendships that evolve along the trails.

The club offers a variety of hikes, including snowshoe outings (over 200) throughout the year. There are a range of hiking levels offered - City, Easy, Moderate, Difficult and Extra Difficult and are offered any day of the week. The club also offers multi-day hiking opportunities throughout the year. The current club has over 350 members.

Membership Information

  1. How much does it cost to join?
    An Annual Membership Fee (due by Nov 30 for renewing members) $14.00 per member.
  2. Do I have to become a member to participate in FSH events?
    3. Yes you have to be a member to participate in events. FSH events are also open to guests of members. If you know a member you can hike as a guest of that member. Guests have to sign a waiver of liability in order to participate in a hike. If you wish to be a guest and you do not know a current member, please contact the New Member Coordinator and we will try and find someone to go with you.
