Itinerary:

As per Kate's chat with Parks Canada earlier this week the trail is clear of snow to the 6km point. If there has been further melt and it is safe to do so we will hike on towards a basin where we may see the first signs of glacier lilies. A lot of the trail is in forest but views open up around 2.7km and again at 6km. There is a Parks requirement that we are a minimum 4 people and must hike in a tight group. Anticipate 5-6 hours on trail including breaks. This is an out and back hike. Trail may well be muddy after the rain this weekend.

Bear spray. Everything that you need for a full day on the trail.

The parking lot/pullout is on the east side of of highway 93 approx 11km north of Radium Hot Springs (12km from the Piccadilly Motel). We cross the road to start the hike.
