Itinerary:

Starting from the Barrier Lake trailhead we cross the dam then turn right/north onto Stoney Trail. We follow this trail all the way to the Broken Bridges site in Bow Valley Provincial Park south- this was the site of the original highway 40 bridge over the Kananaskis river. From here we will take the Riverbank trail to make a loop back to the junction with Stoney Trail to retrace our steps back to the trailhead. Lots of ups and downs along the way with a couple of short steep sections. Expect 4 1/2 to 5 hours on trail including breaks.

Kananaskis Conservation Pass. Microspikes.
