Itinerary:

We will follow a number of trails in the Daffern Kananaskis trail guide volume 4 - namely 43, 49, 50 and 51 for an out and back hike to the summit of Volcano Ridge. There is some history associated with some of the trails in the area which I shall read up on before Thursday. This will be a long day so be prepared for 5-6 hours on trail. As the trail is accessed via a gravel road I can organise a car pool from the Sheep River Park headquarters - details will be in the reminder email.

Required Items to Bring:
Kananaskis Conservation Pass. Everything you need for a long day on the trail including rain gear.

Event Directions:

Head west from Turner Valley for approx 28.5km. Turn right onto the gravel Gorge Creek Road and follow it to it's end at the day use area, approx 4.3km.
