Itinerary:
HI this Fernie trip is for 3 nites starting Sunday July 9 with checkout Wednesday July 12. This is a new area for the club. The feedback from last year's trip with CWH was very positive as to hiking, accommodation and amenities - coffee, shops, pubs, restaurants and galleries. One big plus this year is that there will be public access to the beautiful hikes starting from Island Lake Lodge (Spineback, Mount Baldy and Tamarack Trail) on the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of our stay. Individual day hikes will be posted by co- ordinators closer to the event and will be easy, moderate and difficult. Accommodation - Rates range from the Island Lake Lodge at $428 per nite to Fernie Fox Hotel at a special group rate of $157 per nite for two queens. They have a barbecue, communal kitchen, big sunny deck , hot tub and AC. The cancellation policy is 24 hours notice. They are getting busy so rooms are now subject to availability. Fernie is a thriving resort town with many other motels, hotels, VRBO's and camping to choose from.
