| I would ask that anyone who signs up for this hike has at least been double vaccinated against Covid. This hike is primarily for those who signed up for the Larch Series of hikes but if you want to drive out for the day you can, however I will have to split the group so will be looking for a second coordinator. The trail starts along the Temple fire road for almost 4km before becoming a trail. After another couple of km we enter subalpine meadows with views of many peaks. We pass an historic log structure that served skiers making their way to Skoki Lodge before reaching Boulder Pass at 8.5km above the shore of Ptarmigan Lake. If we have time and energy we may make a side trip to Hidden Lake on our return trip (1km and 100m elevation one way). This will be a long day, expect at least 7 hours on the trail. | |||||||
| |||||||
| How to Get There: | |||||||
| Event Directions: | Take the exit for Lake Louise and head right towards the ski area. In approx 2km look for the Fish Creek trailhead on your right (may be signed for Skoki) Turn in here and drive to the gate. If you get to the ski hill parking you have gone too far. | ||||||
