Itinerary:

I would ask that anyone who signs up for this hike has at least been double vaccinated against Covid. A last minute change of plans from Pigeon Mtn cos it's too darn hot to be doing that sort of straight up elevation with no shade. I'll reschedule when it's cooler. I haven't checked out the Ribbon Creek trail in quite a few years and see that the falls are still running full so who wants to join me? We will enjoy the shade from the forest with open viewpoints as we gradually ascend towards the falls. Hopefully we can cool our feet in the creek at the falls! Expect at least 5 hours on the trail.

Required Items to Bring:
Lots of water, juice and leave some in a cool box in the car for your return.

Event Directions:

Head west on highway 1 then take highway 40 south. turn right onto Mount Allan Drive (Kananaskis village and Nakiska). Turn left onto Centennial Drive (Kananaskis village) then first right onto Ribbon Creek Road. Drive to the far end of the parking lot.

For those of you carpooling, club documents state that it is 10c per km when gas is between $1.80 and $2.20
