Itinerary:

I would ask that anyone who signs up for this hike has at least been double vaccinated against Covid. An interesting hike, through a narrow canyon that attracts rock climbers. Faint rock paintings can also be seen at one spot. Depending on the rain and run off will determine how many stream crossings we need to make. These can normally be made from rock to rock without getting wet. Also be prepared to climb over a boulder, near the entrance to the canyon. Half way up the hike there is also a small waterfall. This is a hike with many interesting features.

Required Items to Bring:
Hat, Water, Snacks or a lunch Kananaskis Parking Pass required.

You may find poles useful. We will be hiking on loose rocks and stones, that may also be wet so good hiking footware.The canyon can be cool, so bring something warm you can put on if necessary.

Meet at Grotto Pond parking lot, 9:45 am. This is on the 1A highway, just a few km past Exshaw on the right-hand side. Its 60km from the intersection of highways 22 and 1A at Cochrane
