Itinerary:
I would ask that anyone who signs up for this hike has at least been double vaccinated against Covid. A steep climb to a couple of false summits before we reach the top of the ridge (approx 290m in the first 2.3km!) Some great views to the west before we head through the forest to the other side of the ridge. A steep descent and then a rolling trail above Lesueur creek to complete our loop where we descend back to our vehicles. Expect 3-4 hours on the trail. Definitely mud along the way along with dry trail and hopefully no icy spots.

Required Items to Bring:
Microspikes just in case. Lunch, water, the usual
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Rain gear - if we have it hopefully we won't need it ;-)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Google maps recognises Lesueur Ridge trailhead. Head to Cochrane and take the 1A west. Turn right onto 40 north (Waiparous). At the T in the road/Richards Road beyond Wiaparous village turn right. In 150m turn left/west onto a gravel road signed for Trapper's Hill Lodges. In approx 2.8km there is a pullout on the right hand side before a texas gate and a steep downhill - this is our trailhead.

Notes:
Trail description and driving directions are in Daffern's Kananaskis Trail guide volume 3 - hikes nos 5 and 6
