Itinerary:
We will be exploring the newest Alberta Provincial Park this August. Trip is planned for 3 nights - Aug 29th to Sept 1st. We had a terrific experience hiking in the area last year, so I am looking forward to returning this year. The Castle PP was established in Feb 2017 and is located between Waterton Lakes Nat Park and the Crowsnest Pass. It encompasses a huge area of stunning mountains, rolling hills, montane forests and meadows. The most popular access point is from Beaver Mines. Accommodation varies in the area – at Beaver Mines – Provincial Campground and Cabins; Pincher Creek – motels, various bed and breakfasts, Airbnbs, VRBO in the area. To check out facilities and hiking in the parks – go to www.albertparks.ca More information to come as event nears.
