Itinerary:
Who wants to come and check out some Western larches with me? This will be an out and back hike. The north top is at the 5km mark with the main summit a further 2.5km along a broad ridge. The weather, particularly the wind will determine how far we go. The day will potentially be a long one (6 hours on trail) with some route finding along the way, creek crossings and some hands on rock ridges to deal with. There is a trail description in the Kananaskis Trail Guide Volume 5, on the reverse side of the Gemtrek Highwood map and also write ups by Bob Spirko and Matt Clay (google their names)
