Eiffel lake and beyond (9/10/2021)

Itinerary:

We start by following switchbacks up through the forest to a junction at 2.4km. Right goes to larch valley and Sentinel Pass. We bear left. After exiting the forest the trail levels out allowing us to enjoy the splendour of the Valley Of The Ten Peaks (I will tell you their names once there). There is a nice little rockpile above Eiffel Lake where we can rest and enjoy a view of the lake and the peaks. Weather and energy permitting I'd like to continue along the trail for a bit to a point above another small lake (1.5km hence) which gives us our 15km total. There is no plan to go all the way to Wenkchemna Pass - this time ;-)

Our best option is probably to drive to the overflow campground and get on the Parks Canada shuttle to Lake Moraine. Then when we are done we are already started on the road back to Calgary. On Monday I'm happy to make a group booking for the bus reservations meaning that the $3 admin fee is only paid once. The return fare is $8.
