Iceline/Yoho Pass/Wapta Highline out and back (9/8/2021)

Itinerary:
A little bit of the Iceline trail, checking out Yoho Lake on the way to Yoho pass, a little bit of the Wapta Highline trail to enjoy the views of Emerald Lake and beyond before returning to Yoho Pass and the Highline trail before rejoining the Iceline trail where we may wander a bit further (extra km) before returning back down the switchbacks that we ascended in the morning. This will be a long day.

Required Items to Bring:
Enough food and water to see you through a long day. Good hiking boots.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Hiking poles. Layers as it will be cold up on the Iceline. Dark chocolate to share with your leader ;-)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Drive west from Lake Louise on the TransCanada highway. After descending the big hill from the Spiral Tunnels turn right onto the Yoho Valley Road. Drive 13km to the Takakkaw Falls parking lot at the end of the road. Park as close to the south end of the lot as possible as the trail leaves from here.

Arrive early enough to get your boots on etc and be ready to hike at 9.15am
