Itinerary:
PLEASE READ IMPORTANT DELAY PAYMENT INFORMATION AT THE BOTTOM OF PAGE. John McFaul of Alpenglow Nature Hikes (http://www.alpenglownaturehikes.ca/) will guide us through this is a fascinating landscape rich in historical significance and beauty. This hike is located 1hour and 45 minute drive north east of Calgary, NE of Trochu, Alberta. The trail is moderate in that it will cross some badland terrain. There is a spectacular view of the Red Deer River Valley, Alberta’s Grand Canyon, from the viewpoint before proceeding down to the river’s edge. From there we will hike into the grassland/badland ending with a climb up to the Dry Island for lunch. Along the way we will have a good chance of seeing some small dinosaur fossils.
