Itinerary:

Lets try and catch some larches before all the needles fall on the ground. Taylor Lake is approx 6.3km from the trailhead - it's a hanging valley lake dominated by the north face of Mount Bell. After checking out the lake we will make the short ascent up to an open forest of larch and fir. The trail continues along the creek of Panorama Meadows where we can check out some ancient alpine larch. Expect 6 hours on trail.

The Taylor Lake trailhead is located approx 8km west of Castle Mtn junction on the left hand side of the highway. There is a turn lane from the west bound lanes to cross the east bound carriageway.
