Itinerary:

The plan is to take the steeper trail up to the lookout and the longer easier one on the way back making a loop of sorts. There is an active fire lookout at the summit. We should be able to see Crowsnest Mountain to the south and Mt Burke to the east. Expect to be on trail for up to 6 hours. Be ready to start hiking at 9.45am

The usual including a warm layer in case it is windy at the top.

Event Directions:

Travel either via highway 40 or 541 to Highwood Junction. Turn south on 940 and drive for approx 11.5km. The trailhead is at the gate on the Lost Creek logging road.
