Itinerary:

Wide open trail, switchbacks followed by a more gradual ascent. Lots of roots on the path. Out and back - not a loop. Lunch at the lake.

Go west on #1, past Banff. Take Hwy 93 towards Radium for 7.1 km. Boom Lake Campsite and parking lot is on your right, ie west side of the road. Washroom at the trialhead.
