Itinerary:

We will leave the meeting place parking lot and head up a well used and well marked trail, past the old Bankhead coal buildings to the Cirque. The majority of the trail is in forest, with some views. There may be bugs. We will have lunch part way along the Cirque, but there is no plan to climb the additional kilometer to the top of the ridge above the Cirque.

Trail head is in the Upper Bankhead Parking Lot and Picnic Area. Take Highway #1 west for approx 113 km from the carpool location. Then exit on Lake Minnewanka Scenic Drive (Range Rod 115B) and proceed for about 3.7 km.
