Itinerary:

Meet at South Glenmore Park at 8:50 AM for a carpool departure at 9:00 AM, or, Meet at the trailhead at 9:45 and be ready to hike by 10:00 AM There are a couple of steep climbs to get to the top of Mesa Butte where some route finding will be required to join the Mesa Back Door trail. After descending Mesa butte we will ascent to the top of Jill's Hill for lunch with a great view. On the way out a couple more climb to get us back to our vehicles.

From AB-22X go 16 km south on AB-22 to the Millarville turn-off. Go 19 km west on AB-549 (McLean Creek Trail) to the Mesa Butte Recreation Area. Meet at the side of the road by the turn-off at 9:45AM.
