Itinerary:
Meet at Barrier Lake at 9:45 AM and be ready to hike by 10:00 AM. We will hike up the Prairie View trail to the Barrier Lake Lookout on the summit of Yates Mountain. Note: Prairie View is 11 km and 510 meters vertical. Doing the lookout on the summit adds 2 kilometer and 190 meters vertical.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:From TransCanada HW-1 take Exit 118 and drive 9 km south on the Kananaskis Trail AB-40. Turn Right and meet at the Barrier Lake parking area.

Notes:
The parking lot usually fills up early so you might want to arrive a bit earlier. It is usually windy crossing the dam. There will be snow on Yates Mountain. There will be mud on some parts of the trail.
