Itinerary:
Meet at the Rainy Summit trailhead by the Timber Harvesting sign at 9:30 AM and get your boots on and ready to hike. We will then take all the vehicles with drivers only to park at the Powderface Ridge trailhead (where we will finish the hike) 3 km down the road. The drivers will return to the Rainy Summit trailhead in one or two vehicles as necessary. From Rainy Summit at 1730 m we hike to Powderface East Ridge at 2143 m, then down to the col at 2085 m and up the other side to Powderface Ridge Steve’s Way to the summit at 2210 m. After lunch we return along the ridge to the col and down the tourist route to the Powderface Ridge trailhead at 1610 m where the vehicles are.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Drive 24 km SW on AB-66 from the junction of AB-22 and AB-66. Park in the parking area on the right side of the road by the “Timber Harvesting” sign.

Notes:
There is a steep rocky section to the Powderface East summit. Its a short drive but you are encouraged to organize your own carpooling with fellow hikers.
