Itinerary:

Leave Valley Ridge car pool at 8:30 and drive to meet at the Highwood Pass parking lot at 9:45 AM. We will hike to and from Ptarmigan Cirque 5 km and 360 m vertical back to the parking area. We will drive to the Arethusa Cirque parking area for lunch and hike the Arethusa Cirque loop 4.7 km and 350 m vertical.

From TransCanada HW-1 take exit 118 South on Kananaskis Trail AB-40. Drive 67 km and turn right into Highwood Pass parking area.

Notes:

The Highwood Pass parking area fills up very early during larch season so we will do these two beautiful hikes on Friday. Carpooling is highly recommended due to parking challenges. Hopefully there will still be some colorful larches.
