Itinerary:

We start on the Windy Point trail to access Foran Grade in a clockwise direction. The ridge provides spectacular views to the west and the fall colours will be on display. After we drop back to the road off the ridge trail, we use the Sheep Trail to return to the cars. We will be going at a moderate pace. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start so we can start walking at 10.

Water, snacks and lunch.
Clothing layers for any conditions.

Hwy. 546 takes off west of Hwy. 22 at Turner Valley. The hike starts from a parking lot on the left (south) side of the road 3.3 kms past the Sandy McNabb Recreation Area.

Notes:

Look for the parking lot on the left side of Hwy 546, 3.3 kms west of the Sandy McNabb Recreation Area. Stop at the Sheep River HQ parking lot on the way by to use the outhouse because there are no facilities in our parking lot.
