Itinerary:

The plan is to ascend Old Baldy using the southwest ridge. Starting at the Evan-Thomas Creek parking lot we will hike about 2km to the junction at McDougall Creek. We leave the creek trail and go left up through forest to a talus slope. Crossing the talus slope brings us to the final ascent to the ridge. From here, it is a lovely stroll through forest before reaching the grassy summit. The plan is to return the same way to make the most of the fantastic views.

Bear Spray. Clothes to suit all types of weather. POLES, Lunch, Lots of water (minimum of 1 1/2 litres in case it is a hot day.
