Itinerary:
This will be done at a slow to moderate pace. I have not been to Boom Lake in many years. My plan is to spend some time at the lake, just relaxing and taking in the views and enjoying the great weather. Will not be rushing. The walk begins on a wide road, veering left for a short steep section onto a trail surrounded by lodgepole pine, white spruce and firs. The trail soon levels off. Boom Lake is long, narrow and aqua-green, forested at its edges and strewn with rubble on the north side.
